Conrad Maldives Rangali Island’s Grand New Chapter

The iconic Maldives twin-island resort will be unveiling its grand relaunch in February 2022 following a multi-million-dollar refurbishment.

Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, a luxury resort in beautiful Maldives has been tickling the fantasies of those looking for a special holiday unlike others. With delightful water villas, beautiful island surroundings, crystal clear waters, undersea dining experience, etc. Conrad Maldives Rangali Island has created many wonderful experiences for those lucky enough to stay with her.

Built back in 1992, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island was then called Rangali Island, and started life as a resort with 4 beach villas, a restaurant, a bar, and a coffee shop. The resort was rebranded to Hilton Rangali in 2007 with additional 80 villas; totaling 120 villas. It was only in 2007 that Hilton Rangali became Conrad Maldives Rangali Island with additional 30 new villas, 12 world-class restaurants and bars, and 2 spas.

The Conrad Maldives Rangali Island is a resort that stretches two islands, hence why it is also referred to as twim island resort. Renowned for delivering authentic barefoot luxury and leading the way as the ‘Island of Firsts’, the twin-island property is home to the world’s first undersea restaurant (Ithaa), and first underwater bedroom set within the two-level residence (The MURAKA).

The award-winning Conrad Maldives Rangali Island has since undergone an expansive multi-million-dollar refurbishment, all of which will be revealed in February 2022. What we know thus far is that the refurbishment includes makeovers of 50 of its Overwater Villas, makeovers to three of its celebrated restaurants and bars, and expanded as well as refreshed facilities. The revitalization of spaces around the resort will resonate with the aspirations of a new era of luxury travellers.

Atoll Market: The renovation of the popular all-day dining buffet restaurant featuring live cooking stations gives culinary world tour a fresh perspective from breakfast to creative evening cocktails. Guests can choose to dine indoor amidst the interactive show kitchens and powder sand floor or experience the outdoor dining under the swaying palm trees and gentle breeze from this beachfront restaurant.

Rangali Bar: The chilled-out social hub of the resort recently completed its renovation with contemporary interiors, warm furniture tones and a communal sand-floored bar overlooking the lagoon. The perfect place to get together over lunch, dinner or cocktails.

Vilu Restaurant at Rangali Island: A long-time favorite for loyal guests, this open-air restaurant located on the edge of the lagoon will soon offer a newly enhanced space.
